What Will You Be Doing?
As the Warranty Team Leader, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Warranty team, ensuring warranty claims are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with manufacturer requirements.
You will be responsible for leading and supporting the Warranty team, ensuring high standards of administration, compliance and customer service are consistently maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, supporting and motivating the Warranty team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Overseeing the submission and monitoring of all warranty claims.
- Ensuring warranty claims are submitted accurately and within manufacturer timescales.
- Processing warranty and retail invoices.
- Liaising closely with the Service team and managing work in progress.
- Communicating with manufacturers to resolve submission issues and corrections.
- Ensuring all warranty claims are processed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and dealership processes.
- Monitoring and reconciling paid claims and maintaining accurate warranty records.
- Keeping up to date with the latest warranty bulletins and ensuring Technicians and relevant colleagues are informed of any changes.
- Ensuring job cards meet manufacturer standards and warranty requirements.
- Monitoring team performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing support and coaching where required.
- Supporting the team with more complex warranty queries and claim issues.
- Ensuring warranty procedures and processes are consistently followed.
- Working closely with management and other departments to maximise warranty claim success and minimise rejected claims.
- Maintaining a high level of compliance and ensuring the department is prepared for manufacturer audits.
The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm.
Who Are We Looking For?
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience within a Warranty Administration or Motor Trade environment.
- Have experience of leading, supervising or supporting a team.
- Possess a strong understanding of automotive warranty processes and manufacturer requirements.
- Demonstrate excellent administration and organisational skills.
- Be customer focused and committed to delivering a high level of service.
- Have excellent computer skills and be confident working with relevant systems.
- Have exceptional attention to detail.
- Be process driven and able to ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
- Demonstrate a positive, "right first time" attitude.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be methodical and organised in their approach, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Be confident communicating with manufacturers, Technicians, Service Advisors and management.
- Be able to motivate, support and develop team members.
- Be open and enthusiastic about ongoing training and development.
- Have a great team-player mentality.
Previous experience in an automotive Warranty Administrator role is essential, with previous Team Leader or supervisory experience being highly advantageous.
