Pentagon Motor Group have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Motor Trade Sales professional to join their fantastic multi franchise Huddersfield dealership in the role of Sales Manager, with a key focus on our rapidly growing CUPRA brand.

This is a high-profile role within a great site, in a great location, with significant potential. We’re looking for a Sales Manager who brings energy, enthusiasm and ambition – someone who can really inspire, motivate and develop a sales team while maintaining strong control of stock, performance and market conditions.

In return, we offer full support, in-house Sales Management training, and full CUPRA manufacturer training, ensuring you are fully CUPRA accredited and equipped to succeed with this exciting brand.

What will you be doing?

Pentagon Huddersfield are looking for an experienced Motor Industry professional to lead and drive the Sales department, with a strong focus on performance, customer experience and team development.

You will play a vital role in maximising sales opportunities across the CUPRA range, identifying appropriate funding and insurance options for customers based on their individual needs, while achieving agreed profitability and volume targets.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing sales team
  • Driving sales performance across vehicle, finance and insurance products
  • Naturally building rapport with customers quickly and ensuring they are treated fairly at all times
  • Maintaining strong stock control and awareness of current market conditions
  • Monitoring finance and insurance performance against budget, identifying and addressing shortfalls
  • Assisting management in planning, forecasting trends, and revising plans for the dealership on an ongoing basis
  • Coaching and developing the skills of the team to achieve business objectives
  • Qualifying customer demands and needs to ensure the most appropriate products are recommended
  • Logging all activity to monitor performance, measure outcomes and provide regular feedback to the Sales Manager & General Manager

The working hours for this role are 45 hours per week, as per the sales rota, including weekends on a rotational basis.


Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record in Sales Management within the Motor Trade
  • Be customer-focused, ambitious and commercially minded
  • Demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritise and manage workloads effectively
  • Show strong leadership qualities and lead by example at all times
  • Have a good understanding of market conditions, stock management and sales forecasting
  • Demonstrate compliance with operating processes, industry regulations and legislation
  • Motivate and inspire the team, regardless of workload or sales volume
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practices
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service standards
  • Hold a full, UK driving licence

The successful applicant must agree to a Basic Disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) procedures. Employment will be offered subject to a satisfactory Disclosure report.
